Terms of Service

1. What Wash for Cash is (and isn't)

Wash for Cash is a listing board where organizers publicize car wash fundraisers and community members find them. We do not organize, host, run, supervise, endorse, or verify any event listed on the Service. Events are created and run entirely by their organizers. We do not verify that any event will occur, that proceeds go to any stated beneficiary, or that any organizer is affiliated with any school or group. If you attend an event, you do so at your own risk, and any payment you make at an event is a transaction between you and the organizer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. To register an account and list an event you must be at least 18, or be acting with the supervision and consent of a parent, teacher, coach, or other responsible adult who agrees to these Terms.

3. Accounts

You can browse without an account. Listing events requires signing in with your Google account; we never see or store your Google password. You agree that the information you provide is accurate, and you are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Notify us promptly at questions@washforcash.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Listings, fees, and featured placement

• Listing fee. Publishing an event listing costs the fee shown at the time you create it (currently $10 per event; promotional free listings may be offered and changed or ended at any time).
• Featured placement. Optional paid placement in the homepage spotlight, limited in quantity per week, sold first-come first-served. Featured placement promotes your listing; it does not guarantee attendance or any fundraising outcome.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms.
• Refunds. Fees are non-refundable once your listing is published, except where required by law, where we cancel or remove your listing for reasons other than a violation of these Terms, or otherwise at our discretion. Listings removed for violating these Terms are not refunded.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the text and photos you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display them only on washforcash.com and only in connection with the listing to which you uploaded them (including where that listing appears elsewhere on this site, such as the homepage spotlight, event cards, and search results). We do not use your content anywhere else.

Photos are automatically deleted within 7 days after your event date. We keep them only while they serve the listing; we do not act as a long-term custodian of your images, so keep your own copies.

You represent that:

• Your listing is accurate: the event is real, at the stated time and place, and proceeds benefit the stated cause;
• You have the right to post the photos you upload, and permission from any identifiable person in them (from a parent or guardian for minors);
• Your content does not infringe anyone's rights or violate any law.

6. Prohibited conduct

You may not: post fake, fraudulent, or misleading events or beneficiaries; collect money under false pretenses; post content that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, harassing, or infringing; manipulate reactions, attendance counts, or ratings (including with bots or multiple devices); scrape or harvest data from the Service; interfere with the Service's operation or security; or impersonate any person or organization.

7. Reactions and ratings

Anyone may react to or rate events without an account. These signals are anonymous, informational only, and moderated at our discretion. We may remove or reset counts we believe are manipulated or abusive.

8. Enforcement

We may edit, unpublish, or delete any listing, remove any content, and suspend or terminate any account, at any time and at our reasonable discretion, including for violations of these Terms. We may, but are not obligated to, warn you first.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its code, design, brand, and the Wash for Cash name and logo, belongs to Nebula Interactive, LLC or its licensors. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE MAKE NO WARRANTY ABOUT ANY EVENT LISTED ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WHETHER IT OCCURS, HOW IT IS RUN, OR WHERE ITS PROCEEDS GO.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEBULA INTERACTIVE, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM AN EVENT LISTED ON THE SERVICE OR YOUR ATTENDANCE AT ONE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD $100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nebula Interactive, LLC from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your listings, your events, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your events from your dashboard, or request account deletion at questions@washforcash.com. We may suspend or terminate access as described in Section 8. Sections that by their nature survive termination survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer rights in your home jurisdiction are not affected where they cannot be waived by contract.
